A cold air mass has affected the Northeastern region of Vietnam, including Hai Phong city, and will become stronger, expanding its influence to other regions.
The influence of cold air combined with disturbances in easterly winds has caused widespread rain in the Northeastern region, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Due to the cold air mass, Hai Phong is forecast to experience rain today (October 31), with chilly weather at night and in the early morning. The lowest temperatures will range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius.
Over the Gulf of Tonkin, including the waters of Bach Long Vi special zone of Hai Phong, northeast winds will blow at level 5, occasionally reaching level 6 and gusting to level 7, causing rough seas with waves 1.25 – 2 m high.
In the waters off Do Son, Cat Hai, and Lan Ha Bay, northeast winds are likely to blow at level 3 – 4 with waves 0.25 – 0.75 m high.
During this period, the lowest temperatures across Hai Phong are forecast at around 21 – 23 degrees Celsius, with average temperatures between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius. No natural disasters are expected to accompany this cold spell.
