According to the Hai Phong Hydro-Meteorological Station, cold air will continue to strengthen from October 21 to 22, bringing chilly weather across Hai Phong at night and early in the morning, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 19°C to 21°C.
On land, northeast winds are forecast to blow at levels 2 – 3.
At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin (including the Bach Long Vi area), northeast winds will strengthen to level 6, occasionally reaching level 7 with gusts of levels 8 – 9. The sea will be rough, with waves 1.5 – 2.5 m high. In the Do Son and Cat Hai – Lan Ha Bay areas, northeast winds are predicted to reach levels 3 – 4, with waves 0.25 – 0.75 m high.
Strong winds and high waves at sea are forecast to affect vessel operations, aquaculture areas, and other marine activities. The colder weather at night and in the early morning also poses health risks.
