The Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee reviewed personnel matters, the proposed investment in the LG Innotek Hai Phong Semiconductor Package Substrate Plant, and several other issues within its authority at a meeting on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by Le Ngoc Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and head of the Hai Phong National Assembly deputy delegation.

The meeting was also attended by Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee; Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee; Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Council; Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and units.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee heard a report from the Organization Commission of the Hai Phong Party Committee on the evaluation and classification of officials under the management of the Standing Committee. It also reviewed the Q2 performance assessments of members of the Standing Committee.

The Standing Committee also heard a report from the Party Committee of the Hai Phong People's Committee on the proposed investment in the LG Innotek Hai Phong Semiconductor Package Substrate Plant at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Zone 2) in the Dinh Vu–Cat Hai Economic Zone, and gave its opinions on the proposal.
The meeting also reviewed a plan marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2026) to ensure the related events are practical and meaningful, reflecting Vietnam's tradition of honoring those who sacrificed for the nation and paying tribute to fallen heroes, war invalids and wounded soldiers.
