Railway sector adds trains for public holidays in April and May

During the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, Reunification Day, and International Workers’ Day in April and May, Haiphong Railway Transport Branch will operate additional trains on the Haiphong – Hanoi route.

Employees to have 25 days off for public holidays in 2026

In 2026, employees across Vietnam will enjoy a total of 25 days off for public holidays. In addition to 11 officially mandated public holidays, employees will have an additional 14 days of compensatory leave or consecutive days off resulting from holidays falling on weekly rest days or swapped working days, bringing the total to 25 days off.
