From early August 2026, the central flower garden area and Hai Phong City Theater are expected to be turned into a pedestrian street.

Hai Phong to launch pedestrian streets and night market in city center

The planned night market and pedestrian streets in Hai Phong's city center will initially open from 6 p.m. to midnight on June 26-28, before becoming a regular feature on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, according to a proposal by the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
