The journey to promote pho and Vietnamese cuisine in Europe has enjoyed remarkable success in Hungary’s capital, helping introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends.

On July 10, the Phở Cultural Roadshow Europe 2026, a series of events promoting pho and Vietnamese cuisine in general, made a highly successful stop in Budapest. The large-scale initiative was launched by We Love Phở and the Ninh Binh Culinary Culture Association, which co-organized the traveling roadshow across several major cities in Central Europe.
Hungary’s capital is not only where the idea of establishing the We Love Phở network took shape at the 2023 Forum for European Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, but also one of the major economic and cultural centers of the Vietnamese community in Central Europe.

Budapest is also hosting Vietnamese Cuisine Week from July 9 to July 31. During this period, restaurants at Bian Garden complex and many other dining venues in Budapest are widely introducing traditional dishes, especially pho, giving Hungarian diners more opportunities to discover the depth of Vietnamese culture through flavors preserved across generations.
The event also drew the presence and support of We Love Phở members from the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, underscoring the growing reach of the Vietnamese food-loving community across Europe. From an initial idea in 2023, the movement has grown into a sustainable community network in many countries and is now being brought to life through this transcontinental journey.
After Budapest, the roadshow will continue to Bochum, Berlin before concluding in Frankfurt, Germany, completing a 21-day continuous promotional journey across Europe. Beyond spreading cultural values and valuable culinary knowledge, the journey also reflects the solidarity and shared commitment of overseas Vietnamese in bringing images of their homeland closer to international friends./.
