Joint efforts needed to exceed socio-economic targets

Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, met with the authorities of An Lao, An Quang and An Truong communes on August 27 to review socio-economic development tasks and the progress of several works and projects in the localities.

At the meeting, local leaders reported that socio-economic development and public investment disbursement in the localities had produced positive results through August 2026. Site clearance for key works and projects was also progressing as scheduled.

Leaders of the three localities asked the City People’s Committee and departments to accelerate completion of the City Master Plan and relevant subdivision plans. They also proposed additional recurrent expenditure funding to renovate, upgrade and repair essential healthcare, education and cultural facilities in the localities...

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung commended the three communes for their socio-economic development results during the first eight months of 2026.

Emphasizing that the workload from now until the end of the year remains substantial, Trung called on the entire political system in the localities to act decisively and in a coordinated manner to exceed socio-economic targets, particularly in budget collection, public investment disbursement and site clearance for key projects in the localities.

The chairman also asked the three localities to step up administrative reform, digital transformation and application of science and technology to increase the rates of online applications and applications processed ahead of or by the deadline, making it easier for residents and businesses to access public services. They were also urged to continue implementing social welfare policies effectively and improving residents’ living conditions.

The Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority and the Departments of Construction; Agriculture and Environment; and Industry and Trade were asked to proactively coordinate in resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by investors and local authorities in site clearance and project implementation, including the Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway, Sakura Golf Course and Trang Due 3 Industrial Park.

Before the meeting, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung inspected the progress of the projects to build Sakura Golf Course and Trang Due 3 Industrial Park in An Truong Commune, Cua Hoat – Quan Thang Industrial Cluster in An Quang Commune, and Hoang Xa Urban Area in An Lao Commune.

Trung asked the investors to work closely with local authorities to accelerate site clearance, mobilize resources and speed up project construction.
