Japanese ophthalmological expert provides consultations and examinations in Hai Phong

Hai Phong Eye Hospital, in coordination with the Asia-Pacific Prevention of Blindness Association (APBA), organized a program featuring medical examinations, consultations and professional exchanges with Japanese Professor Hattori Tadashi on August 11 and 12, helping enhance the hospital’s capacity to diagnose and treat eye diseases.

Through direct consultations, doctors from Hai Phong Eye Hospital had opportunities to engage in in-depth discussions with the international expert on diagnostic methods, treatment plans and the management of difficult cases.

The program also enabled local patients to access an international ophthalmology specialist locally, while providing medical staff with opportunities to update their knowledge, gain practical experience and learn about the latest advances in ophthalmology.

Based on the program’s outcomes, Hai Phong Eye Hospital and APBA agreed to further strengthen cooperation in personnel training, professional exchanges, consultations on difficult cases and gradual transfer of advanced ophthalmic techniques.

As planned, a delegation of Hai Phong Eye Hospital staff will travel to Japan in the coming period to study and exchange experience at the invitation of APBA and Professor Hattori Tadashi. The visit is expected to expand professional cooperation and contribute to improving the quality of eyesight care and protection for local residents.
