The Hai Phong People's Council has approved the reclamation of more than 2,000 hectares of land for the construction of 70 projects this year.

The Hai Phong People's Council passed a resolution adjusting and supplementing the list of projects requiring land reclamation across the city in 2026. This updates the original list approved under Resolution No. 78/NQ-HĐND on December 11, 2025.
In total, the city will reclaim 2,001.48 hectares for the construction of 70 projects including transportation infrastructure, industrial zones, urban development, and social housing projects.
These projects involve large land reclamation areas across multiple localities, including the Hanoi-Quang Ninh high-speed rail project, reclaiming 210 hectares in five communes and wards. The East-West connecting road project will reclaim 234.74 hectares across nine communes and wards. The Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway investment project (CT08, covering the Haiphong city section and 9 km in Hung Yen province) will reclaim 82.73 hectares in four communes and wards in the eastern area.
Beside transport infrastructure, land will be reclaimed for industrial and logistics hubs, including the new-generation logistics complex in Kien Hai commune (53.26 hectares) and the Kien Bai-Cao Nhan industrial cluster in Thien Huong and Le Ich Moc wards (40.88 hectares).
Urban and resettlement projects with comprehensive infrastructure will be deployed such as resettlement areas in Hung Dao and Duong Kinh wards (11.68 hectares), Do Son and Nam Do Son wards (16.83 hectares total), Kien Hai commune (113.8 hectares), the new Tue Tinh urban area in Thanh Dong ward (24.98 hectares), and a new urban project in Trang Cat ward (160.89 hectares), …
Besides, land will be reclaimed for numerous investment projects to upgrade, and expand schools at all levels; build parks, flower gardens; and medical facilities in many localities.
