On January 13, Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority Director Bui Nguyen Khoi announced the 2026 goals: 122 million tons of cargo, including 9.1 million TEUs of containers; 42,500 vessel calls; 701.9 billion VND in maritime fees; and reductions across all three maritime accident criteria. The authority coordinates with port operators to expand and launch new maritime service routes, especially trans-Pacific lines.
In 2025, total cargo throughput the port reached over 115.6 million tons, up 8.7% from 2024; containers hit 8.35 million TEUs, up 13%; and vessel traffic totaled 41,520 calls, up 11%. Currently, 30 international maritime routes connect to Asia, America, Australia, and beyond, operated by shipping lines, logistics firms, and ports.
State budget revenue in 2025 reached 894 billion VND, up 33% from 2024, including 230.2 billion VND in port dues, 118.3 billion VND in entry/exit fees, and 647.5 billion VND in maritime assurance fees.
