Hai Phong’s industrial employment index in the first seven months of 2025 increased by 3.5% compared to the same period last year.

The number of workers employed at industrial enterprises in Hai Phong city in July rose by 5.02% compared to June and by 6.42% year on year, according to the city Statistics Office.
For the January–July period, the city’s industrial employment index increased by 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
Several industries recorded notable increases in employment, including automobile manufacturing (up 45%), wood processing and wood product manufacturing (up 8.3%), electronic, computer and optical product manufacturing (up 8.1%), fabricated metal product manufacturing (up 6.3%), electricity production and distribution (up 6.3%), and chemical manufacturing (up 5.1%).
Employment demand in Hai Phong is forecast to rise sharply in the remaining months of 2025 as more businesses become operational, secure new orders, expand projects, and develop new markets.
