Many companies seek large numbers of general workers

The Hai Phong Employment Service Center under the city Department of Home Affairs held a hybrid job fair, both online and in-person, on August 4.

The event drew the participation of 15 companies operating in various sectors, such as garment and textile, education, insurance, etc., with a combined demand of around 4,000 workers.

Several companies expressed a high need for unskilled labor, mainly general workers aged 18 to 45, with no specific education or experience requirements. Regina Miracle International Vietnam Co., Ltd. was seeking to recruit 1,700 sewing, shaping, and quality control workers, while Jasan Vietnam Co., Ltd. was looking to hire 700 production workers, and Maple Co., Ltd. needed around 500 sewing workers.

With a combination of direct and online interviews, the job fair expanded workers’ access to employers and helped narrow the gap between job seekers and recruiters.

The quick interview segment and live Q&A session via the center's livestream attracted nearly 1,000 job seekers from Hai Phong and surrounding areas, who tuned in, registered, and submitted applications on the same day.

This meaningful initiative aims to strengthen the labor supply-demand connection across the city.
