Hai Phong’s exports reach USD 36.8 billion in seven months

According to the Hai Phong People's Committee's socio-economic report, the city's export turnover in July 2026 was estimated at USD 5.5 billion, an increase of 16.33% compared with the same month last year.

In the first seven months of 2026, Hai Phong's total export turnover was estimated at USD 36.8 billion, up 10% from the same period of 2025 and reaching 70.8% of the year’s target.

Major export products included electronics and electronic components, machinery and equipment, spare parts, garments and textiles, and footwear. Key export markets were South Korea, Japan, and the US.

The city's export structure continued shifting toward a lower share of raw exports and a higher proportion of processed and industrial products, enabling Hai Phong's goods to integrate more deeply into global manufacturing and supply chains.

Hai Phong's import turnover in July was estimated at USD 4.05 billion, down 3.03% from June but up 5.12% year on year.

In the first seven months of 2026, the city's total import turnover was estimated at nearly USD 26.58 billion, an increase of 18.67% compared with the same period last year, reaching 63.89% of the year’s target.

Import and export activities maintained steady growth, supported by the expansion of industrial production, seaport operations, and logistics. Rising import value also reflected strong demand for raw materials, machinery, and equipment serving production and business activities.
