Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau presented investment approval decisions for three projects to be developed by VSIP in Hai Phong while accompanying Vietnam's high-level delegation on a state visit to Singapore.

At the invitation of Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and his spouse, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and State President To Lam and his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, together with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Singapore on May 29, beginning a state visit from May 29-31.
Joining the delegation was Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly delegation.

Later the same day, General Secretary and State President To Lam and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong witnessed a ceremony for the exchange and announcement of cooperation documents between ministries, agencies and localities of Vietnam and Singapore.

The documents included a memorandum of cooperation between Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Singapore's Public Service Division; a joint statement between Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade and Singapore's Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology on strengthening supply chain resilience; a memorandum of cooperation between the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam and the Supreme Court of Singapore; terms of reference on Vietnam-Singapore agrifood trade cooperation; a memorandum on the establishment of an Advanced Manufacturing Research Center between Becamex and A*STAR; investment certificates for VSIP projects in Hue, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City; a memorandum of cooperation on education between Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training and Nanyang Technological University; and a memorandum of cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and Singapore's People's Action Party.

At the event, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau presented investment approval decisions for three VSIP projects in Hai Phong, including the Tien Lang 2 Industrial Park Infrastructure Development and Business Project (VSIP Hai Phong 2 – Phase 1), covering 252 hectares with total investment of about USD 136 million; the Lakeside Garden commercial housing project with total investment of USD 76.9 million; and the Victory–Mattar Residence social housing project with total investment of about USD 66.3 million.
Earlier, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau visited the Punggol Waterway Terraces project, one of Singapore's representative social housing developments.
