Lieutenant Pham Thuy Duong, an officer at the Propaganda and Training Division, Political Department, Hai Phong Military Command, is one of 20 individuals recognized as Exemplary Youth in 2025.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation has announced 20 individuals for the Exemplary Youth Award 2025. Hai Phong has one representative on the list, namely Lieutenant Pham Thuy Duong, an officer of the Propaganda and Training Division, Political Department, Hai Phong Military Command.
Born in 2001 in Dai Son commune, Hai Phong city, Duong voluntarily enlisted in 2021.
She won gold medals at the Unarmed Combat Championships for All-army Martial Arts Clubs in 2022 and 2025, the Unarmed Combat Sports Festival for All-army Martial Arts Clubs in 2023, and the National Defense Sports Festival in 2024.
Lieutenant Duong also actively participated in parades celebrating major national events, including the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
In March 2025, she was commended by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense as one of the promising young faces of the armed forces in 2024.
The Exemplary Youth Award 2025 is co-organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation and TCP Vietnam Company to honor young individuals with exemplary actions and contributions.
The award ceremony and activities within the “Exemplary Youth Journey” program are slated for October in Ha Noi.
