Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung has suggested that LS Group explore expanding investment in the city, particularly in submarine power cable manufacturing.
Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, held a working session with LS-VINA Cable & System JSC, a member of South Korea’s LS Group, on October 21 to review its production and business performance and address difficulties and obstacles to promote growth.
Trung acknowledged the company’s production and business results and contributions to industrial development and budget revenue in Hai Phong and nationwide. The city will work alongside the company and create favorable conditions for it to maintain stable operations and accelerate growth in line with the Municipal Party Committee’s Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated July 15, 2026.
The Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee assigned relevant departments and agencies to review the company’s proposals and consider appropriate solutions in compliance with the law.
He called on the leadership of LS-VINA Cable & System JSC to report to and discuss with LS Group the possibility of expanding investment in Hai Phong, particularly in submarine power cable manufacturing to supply electricity to islands and support offshore wind power development.
Hai Phong stands ready to allocate a suitable site and facilitate access to land, seaport connections and technical infrastructure for the group to study and implement its project.
