Hai Phong City has new Party Committee Secretary

On the morning of April 10, the Haiphong City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on cadre work.

The Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc, and the Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau, representatives from central agencies and the Military Region 3 Command, and Hai Phong leaders attended the conference.

At the conference, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Nguyen Thanh Binh announced the Politburo's decision.

Accordingly, the Party Central Committee member and Chairman of the Haiphong People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau has been approved as Secretary of the Haiphong City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and designated to join the Military Region 3 Party Committee.

Previously, the 16th National Assembly approved the appointment of the Party Central Committee member and Haiphong City Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2026-2031 term.
