The Hung Kings Commemoration Festival is being held on a large scale for the first time at Tuong Long Pagoda, located in Do Son Ward (Hai Phong).

Do Son Ward is preparing for the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival, which will be held at the Temple of Vietnamese National Heroes – Quoc To Vong Tu, within the Tuong Long Pagoda complex, marking the first time the event is organized on a large scale in the ward.
The program is scheduled to take place on April 26 (the 10th day of the third lunar month).
The event has been carefully prepared by Do Son Ward, carrying strong traditional cultural and spiritual significance for the Vietnamese people. It is an occasion to honor the tradition of “Remembering the source when drinking water,” foster national pride, and strengthen community solidarity.
The ceremony is organized and presided over by Most Venerable Thich Quang Tung, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of the Hai Phong Buddhist Sangha, as well as abbot of Tuong Long Pagoda, in coordination with local authorities to ensure solemnity and compliance with regulations.
The Temple of Vietnamese National Heroes – Quoc To Vong Tu is a sacred worship space, inaugurated on February 26. The temple is solemnly dedicated to honoring Lac Long Quan, Au Co, the Hung Kings, and figures from the “Four Immortals” in Vietnamese folk beliefs.
