Do Son ward in Hai Phong is targeting 3 million - 3.3 million visitors during the peak summer season this year.

To meet the target, local authorities will strengthen state management of tourism, particularly during the peak season. They will closely monitor tourism service businesses and promptly address violations in line with regulations.
The ward will also step up promotion of Do Son’s tourism potential across media channels and social networks.
It plans to better leverage the values of historical and cultural sites and traditional festivals to develop distinctive tourism products and attract visitors.

In the first quarter, the ward met and exceeded several socio-economic targets.
Industrial production value was estimated at 133 billion dong, reaching 23.3 percent of the annual plan.
Agriculture, forestry and fisheries output was estimated at more than 74.3 billion dong, equivalent to 24 percent of the yearly target.
State budget revenue under the decentralized system was estimated at over 55 billion dong, reaching 32.4 percent of the plan.
Total tourist arrivals were estimated at more than one million, equivalent to 20.9 percent of the annual target.
