The Hai Phong Confederation of Labor held a working session with enterprises currently using outsourced labor in industrial parks and clusters across the city on August 29.

In recent times, many businesses have expanded their production and business scale but not been able to recruit enough workers, thus turning to labor outsourcing services. From this reality, representatives of several enterprises in the city’s industrial parks and clusters provided preliminary information on their labor use, highlighting difficulties in recruitment, compliance with regulations on social insurance, wage and bonus regimes, overtime policies, and employee benefits.

It was also noted that some temporary workers do not wish to stay with enterprises long term. The payment of entitlements through intermediaries carries risks, potentially affecting employer-employee trust and corporate reputation.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the city Confederation of Labor Nguyen Van Phiet acknowledged the direct and practical feedback from business representatives.

To effectively perform its role of monitoring, guiding, and supporting enterprises in management, recruitment, and assurance of full compliance with labor laws, the city Confederation of Labor tasked its Trade Union Affairs Committee to continue coordinating with the Industrial Park Trade Union to review, compile, and summarize feedback, providing timely and appropriate solutions to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

The city Confederation of Labor will continue assisting these enterprises in implementing policies to take care of outsourced employees, thereby helping to expand the trade union membership.
