The final round of the 2026 Do Son - VTV Buffalo Fighting Festival kicked off at the central stadium of Do Son Ward, Hai Phong City on the morning of September 19.
Attending the festival were Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; and leaders of departments, agencies and sectors across the city.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Do Son Ward People’s Committee emphasized that this is a long-standing festival of the people of Do Son and Hai Phong.
Alongside the ceremonial activities, the festival features a range of cultural, sports, tourism and commercial activities, experience tours, art programs, a food festival, OCOP product showcases, a wrestling exchange and a street carnival. Through these activities, Do Son is gradually linking heritage preservation with tourism and service development.

From early morning, thousands of residents and visitors eagerly made their way to the stadium, joining in the festive atmosphere and awaiting exciting and fierce bouts between the fighting buffaloes in the final round.
Each bout is not only a contest of strength between the buffaloes but also contributes to recreating traditional cultural values preserved by the Do Son community through generations.

To ensure that the final round takes place safely and solemnly and makes a good impression on residents and visitors, the organizing committee made thorough preparations in advance. Plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, and safety in the stadium and grandstand areas were developed and implemented in a coordinated manner.
With careful preparations, the final round of the 2026 Do Son - VTV Buffalo Fighting Festival is not only a cultural event eagerly anticipated by local residents but also a highlight attracting large numbers of visitors to Do Son.
