The Tourism Information Center under the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism has partnered with SHB Bank to create a smart tourism ecosystem leveraging synchronized data platforms, technology, and digital finance. This collaboration based on each party's strengths mark a key step in boosting the tourism sector's growth.
The partnership will roll out solutions to support businesses and enhance visitor experiences, while establishing data platforms for state management. Focus areas include expanding the digital tourism ecosystem and joint promotion of Vietnam's image abroad.
Existing shared digital platforms lay the groundwork, such as Vietnam Tourism Database, Travel Management and Business App, Vietnam Travel App, the Viet - Smart Travel Card, and interconnected e-ticketing systems. The Tourism Information Center also runs a digital marketing system with websites and social media for destination promotion. Notably, the Viet Nam tourism website (vietnam.travel) ranks second in Southeast Asia.
