14th National Party Congress’ Press Centre officially opens

A total of 597 journalists and technicians from 113 domestic media outlets, along with 79 journalists and press assistants from 43 foreign news agencies and media organizations, have registered to cover the 14th National Congress of the Party.

On the afternoon of January 14, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, the Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress was officially inaugurated. This event marked one of the opening activities in the series of key events of the 14th National Party Congress.

Attending the event were Politburo members: Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Standing member of the Party Central Secretariat; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Head of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, and Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Also present were members of the Party Central Committee, representatives of leaders from central ministries, agencies and localities, as well as a large number of journalists from domestic and international media and news agencies covering the event.

The Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress has been equipped with the best possible facilities and technical conditions, creating favorable conditions for media organizations to carry out their reporting. To date, 597 journalists and technicians from 113 domestic media outlets, along with 79 journalists and press assistants from 43 foreign news agencies, overseas Vietnamese journalists, and journalists from political parties and governing parties, have registered to cover the Congress.

The Press Center has coordinated with relevant agencies to create favorable conditions for media organizations to carry out their reporting and activities during the Congress, including providing clean television and radio broadcast signals, supplying photos for media coverage, and disseminating information about the 14th National Party Congress. At the same time, it has developed plans for the arrangement and coordination of journalists working at the Press Center and within the Congress hall, ensuring that information is delivered quickly, accurately, comprehensively, and in a timely manner to meet the requirements set out.

Immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, an international press conference on the 14th National Party Congress was held. The officials provided information and answered questions from domestic and international journalists on issues related to the Congress, including its political significance and outstanding importance; fundamental new points in thinking, vision, and strategic orientation compared with previous Party Congresses; the key and core contents of the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; as well as the Congress’s working regulations and personnel arrangements.

Acknowledging and highly appreciating the dedication and sense of responsibility of journalists from domestic and international news agencies and media organizations, Politburo member and Standing member of the Party Central Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized that communication and publicity work for the 14th National Party Congress had been carried out early, with clear and well-structured plans, in a spirit of openness, transparency, democracy, and objectivity. The coverage has accurately reflected the Party’s determination and the aspirations of officials, Party members, and the people, creating highlights and strong impressions. Through this, it has contributed to strengthening the confidence of officials, Party members, and the people in the Congress, fostering unity within the Party and consensus in society.

Earlier, Party and State leaders, along with a large number of delegates, visited the exhibition “From Congress to Congress”; the book and newspaper display area; the photo exhibition titled “Under the Party’s Flag, the Country Enters a New Era”; and attended the special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party.
