Red Cross officials, members, and volunteers donate 284 units of blood

On August 10, at Aeon Mall Hai Phong Le Chan, the city Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaigns organized the second blood donation festival of the year for Red Cross officials, members, and volunteers.

With the message “Blood donation starts from managers”, the program attracted more than 300 Red Cross officials, members, and volunteers from across the city, aiming to “light up hope” for patients under treatment in hospitals and help address the shortage of blood reserves.

According to Bui Manh Phuc, Chairman of the Hai Phong Red Cross Society and Permanent Deputy Head of the city Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaigns, the amount of donated blood collected in eastern and western Hai Phong has only reached about 55% of the target assigned by the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

Therefore, in addition to coordinating with relevant units to organize blood donation events, officials, members, and volunteers must always be ready to donate blood to save lives and spread the voluntary blood donation movement within the community.

The event successfully collected 284 qualified units of blood.
