2025 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival’s Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week kicks off
The opening ceremony of the Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week within the 2025 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival marked the start of a series of activities honoring heritage and promoting tourism in Hai Phong.

The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival opened the Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week at Kiep Bac temple in Tran Hung Dao ward, Hai Phong city on October 4.
This event is part of the Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, contributing to the preservation and promotion of heritage values, linking tourism development with trade promotion, creating momentum for socio-economic growth, and advancing the goal of making tourism a key economic sector of the city.

This year’s festival week features a rich and vibrant lineup of activities, including a program introducing new tourism products and heritage discovery tours. These unique offerings connect traditional cultural values with contemporary experiences, allowing visitors to explore the region’s historical depth, natural beauty, and distinctive festive atmosphere.
In addition, there are three exhibition zones for traditional craft villages, signature agricultural and OCOP products, and tourism and cuisine.

The craft village zone gathers artisans from renowned traditional villages such as Thanh Lieu woodblock carving, Chu Dau pottery, Chau Khe gold and silver crafting, Dong Giao woodwork, and Xuan Neo embroidery, showcasing the essence of Vietnamese cultural craftsmanship.
A highlight of this year’s event is the live demonstration of traditional craft-making processes and culinary preparation right at the exhibition space. Artisans and chefs will perform their work on-site, presenting to visitors the meticulous creation of fine handicrafts and the making of traditional dishes, offering an authentic and lively cultural experience.

The agricultural and OCOP product exhibition zone features 30 producers showcasing over 200 products rated from three to five stars.
The tourism and cuisine space introduces Hai Phong’s signature specialties such as bun cha ruoi (vermicelli with ragworm patties), nem cua be (fried crab spring rolls), bun ca cay (spicy fish noodle soup), and banh mi que cay (spicy baguette sticks), dishes that have helped build the brand of Hai Phong’s “food tour.”

Throughout the week, visitors will enjoy a variety of artistic performances by professional troupes and folk art clubs, including cheo (traditional opera), hat van (spiritual singing), water puppetry, and ca tru (ceremonial singing).
In particular, water puppetry, deeply rooted in the rural culture of northern Vietnam, will be vividly presented by artists from the city Traditional Stage Theater and Thanh Hai and Hong Phong water puppetry troupes.

With a diverse program running until October 12, the Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week serves as an opportunity to promote Hai Phong’s image as a dynamic and culturally rich city, while fostering cooperation and connections among businesses, investors, local authorities, and residents in developing tourism, trade, and culture.
