The Kiep Bac Temple restoration, renovation and heritage enhancement project will be implemented to help improve the management, preservation and promotion of the heritage's value.
The Hai Phong People's Committee has approved the investment policy for the project.
The project will be carried out by the Hai Phong Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project aims to complete the relic system, technical infrastructure and landscape of the Kiep Bac site in line with the master plan for the Con Son-Kiep Bac historical complex approved by the Prime Minister, contributing to improved management, preservation and promotion of the heritage's value.
With total investment of more than 1.15674 trillion dong from the city budget, the project will be implemented during the 2026-2028 period and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
The project will complete the worship system, restore traditional rituals, and preserve the value of archaeological excavation sites at Kiep Bac Temple. It will also continue efforts to clarify the site's outstanding universal value, authenticity and integrity in line with UNESCO recommendations.
The project is expected to help unlock the site's tourism potential, support the development of distinctive tourism products, promote awareness of historical and cultural traditions, and contribute to local socio-economic development.
