Hai Phong is forecast to continue experiencing widespread showers on October 7, with a risk of localized flooding on some streets.

Radar images at 1 am on October 7 showed convective clouds developing and causing rainfall in villages and residential areas in the western and northwestern parts of Hai Phong. Meanwhile, thunderstorm clouds forming over Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces were also moving toward Hai Phong.
During the morning hours, these convective clouds continued developing, bringing showers and thunderstorms to villages and residential areas in communes and wards such as Mao Dien, Cam Giang, Tue Tinh, Viet Hoa, Thach Khoi, Gia Loc, Ke Sat, Binh Giang, Duong An, Thuong Hong, Yet Kieu, Gia Phuc, Truong Tan, Bac Thanh Mien, Nam Thanh Mien, Nguyen Luong Bang, Chi Linh, Chu Van An, Hop Tien, Le Dai Hanh, Tran Phu, Thai Tan, An Phu, Nam An Phu, Nam Sach, Dai Sen, Hai Tay, Thanh Ha, Ha Bac, Viet Ha, Tu Minh, Tan Hung, Thanh Dong, Ai Quoc, Hai Duong, Le Thanh Nghi, Nam Dong, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nhan Tong, and Lai Khe, before spreading to nearby areas.
Forecasts indicate that Hai Phong will continue to have rain throughout the day, with total rainfall ranging from 20 to 40 mm, and higher in some areas. Flooding may occur on several streets, with water depths from 0.1 to 0.2 meters.
Flooding may disrupt traffic and affect daily travel, while inundation may enter houses, damaging property. Residents are advised to watch out for deep, waterlogged areas and open manholes.
Authorities and relevant units should monitor the situation and take preventive measures, experts warn.
