The Hai Phong Red Cross has called on agencies, units, localities, and residents across the city to join hands in supporting the Cuban people.
Within just three days, by 4 pm on August 20, the Hai Phong Red Cross had received 220 million VND in donations from 958 individuals and organizations via Hotline 1505.
In response to a fundraising campaign initiated by the Vietnam Red Cross Society on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, the Hai Phong Red Cross sent official letters to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong, the city departments, sectors, socio-political organizations, People’s Committees of communes, wards, special zones, agencies, enterprises, and philanthropists to mobilize support for Cuba in overcoming difficulties.
The initiative also contributes to consolidating and strengthening the traditional special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba in general, and between Hai Phong and Cuban localities in particular.
Donations can be made to the Hai Phong Red Cross via account number 1505 at Military Bank (MB).
The fundraising campaign runs from August 18 to October 16, 2025. All collected funds will be transferred to the Vietnam Red Cross Society for timely deployment of support activities for the Cuban people.
