The Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations has effectively upheld its role as a bridge, deepening people-to-people friendship and cooperation between Hai Phong and international partners.
The Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations held a get-together on November 14 to celebrate the 75th traditional day of people-to-people diplomacy (November 17, 1950 – 2025).
Ove the past time, the union has effectively fulfilled its bridging role, proactively expanding and strengthening people-to-people solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Hai Phong and friends around the world.
External affairs were conducted with diverse content and an expanded network of partners, focusing on traditional friends and strategic partners that maintain investment and trade relations with the city.
The union also prioritized connecting the foreign community living and working in Hai Phong with local people’s organizations, and promoting social, humanitarian and charitable activities, helping to showcase the city’s culture and people while mobilizing international and overseas Vietnamese support for the city’s development.
Member organizations of the union have also continued to develop their strengths, diversify activities and make positive contributions to expanding bilateral and multilateral relations as well as the city’s external affairs.
In recognition of these efforts and achievements, the Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations was honored with an emulation flag from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and a certificate of merit from the city People’s Committee.
