On August 26, the Hai Phong Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 485 on lifting restrictions on certain activities in river mouths and coastal areas of the city, after Storm No. 5 (Kajiki) weakened into a tropical depression and moved into central Laos.

Accordingly, from 10 am on August 26, the ban was lifted on tourist boats, fishing vessels going offshore, and exploitation activities in river mouth, coastal, and island areas under Hai Phong’s jurisdiction.

Tourism and recreational activities at beaches and islands, the Dong Bai–Cai Vieng ferry terminal, and the Cat Hai–Phu Long cable car line were also allowed to resume normal operations from the same time.

Earlier, to prepare for Storm No. 5, the Civil Defense Command had announced a suspension of all activities in river mouths and coastal areas from 1 pm on August 24.
