In response to Workers’ Month 2026, the Hai Phong Labor Federation on May 12 launched a program at the Viet-Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace to present 5,000 free swimming tickets to union members, workers and their children across the city.
The program aims to promote physical fitness of union members, workers and their children while helping them enjoy benefit from welfare policies provided by the Hai Phong Trade Union.
The federation said it hopes to create a healthy and beneficial recreational activity during the summer. The initiative also aims to equip children with swimming skills and raise awareness of drowning prevention.
The swimming pool at the Viet-Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace has been upgraded to serve the swimming needs of union members, workers and city residents.
The Hai Phong Labor Federation has upgraded facilities at the swimming pool, including renovating shower areas, repairing the pool and ensuring water quality meets required standards. Experienced lifeguards and swimming instructors have also been arranged to ensure safety and provide instruction.
