Free film screenings celebrate the success of the Party Congress and welcome the Spring 2026

On January 30, the Department of Cinema under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that a free film screening program celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026), and welcoming the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026 will take place from February 3 to February 22.

The program is organized by the Department of Cinema in coordination with the National Cinema Center, provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and film production units. At the National Cinema Center in Hanoi, six feature films will be screened free of charge from February 3 to 8.

Audiences can collect free admission tickets at the National Cinema Center starting from 8:30 a.m. on January 31. The opening ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on February 3.

In addition, the Department of Cinema will coordinate with localities nationwide to screen state-funded films for the public, primarily through mobile cinema programs.

According to the Department of Cinema, the program is a cultural activity of profound political significance, celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress—a major national event marking a new stage of development. Through works with strong ideological value and high artistic quality, the program contributes to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism, and meeting the public’s cultural needs in the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the Party and welcoming the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026.
