Visitors to Cat Ba can now scan QR codes on public billboards to find parking and directions, a move aimed at easing congestion during peak tourist seasons.
The Cat Hai Special Zone has rolled out a QR-based system providing directions and information

, as part of efforts to improve visitor services and promote a more orderly, tourism-friendly environment.
Using a smartphone, visitors can scan QR codes placed at key locations to access parking lists, identify convenient routes and locate tourist sites and essential services.
The system allows visitors to better plan their journeys, reducing search time and limiting uncoordinated traffic movement.

Authorities say the use of QR codes not only improves convenience but also supports traffic management in the tourist area. Guiding vehicles to designated parking areas is expected to help ease localized congestion, particularly during peak periods.
Through the system, local authorities are also calling on visitors to help build a green and safe tourism environment.
Earlier, the Cat Hai administration introduced a plan to regulate traffic lanes and designate parking for vehicles with more than 16 seats in central Cat Ba, aimed at reducing congestion, ensuring traffic safety and improving the overall tourism environment.
