With more than a month left until the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse 2026, a wide variety of Tet decorative items have already been put on sale at many markets and shopping centers across Hai Phong City.
At many business locations along major streets in the eastern part of the city such as Quang Trung, Phan Boi Chau, Da Nang, and Dien Bien Phu, Tet decorative items have been put on sale quite early, evoking a sense of excitement among residents as they feel the Lunar New Year drawing near.
At the stalls, lanterns, red couplets, hanging ornaments, decorative fans, and zodiac figurines are arranged in layers and displayed along walkways, capturing the attention of people.
Meanwhile, decoration shops on several streets in the western part of the city, including Tran Hung Dao, Tran Phu, and Truong My, are also filled with vibrant colors from red couplets, lanterns, string lights, and various decorative artificial flowers.
This year, prices of decorative products are clearly displayed at shops, ranging from tens of thousands to several million VND per item, depending on materials, designs, and sizes. According to traders, despite fluctuations in input costs, retail prices have generally remained stable compared to last year. Many businesses have kept prices unchanged to make shopping more convenient for customers and to help ease spending pressure during the Tet holiday.
Alongside in-store sales, the online market is equally vibrant. On e-commerce platforms and social media such as Shopee and TikTok, many shops are offering discounts and promotions to attract customers.
The peak period for purchasing Tet decorations is expected to fall between the 20th and 28th days of the 12th lunar month. During this time, customer traffic may increase several times compared to regular days. To ensure sufficient supply, many stores have begun increasing their inventory and diversifying product designs from the start of the season.
With the wide variety of designs and types of products available in the 2026 Tet decoration market, consumers have more options to suit their budgets, preferences, and decorating styles. From cozy family spaces to lively display corners in shops and cafés, all contribute to the vibrant spring atmosphere that fills the city streets.
