Focusing on site clearance for Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong railway project
Local authorities are tasked to complete site clearance for the Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong railway construction project’s section passing through Hai Phong City by December 15.

Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, chaired a meeting on the afternoon of October 28 to review progress on site clearance for the section of the Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong railway construction project passing through Hai Phong.
In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Kien asked local authorities to identify site clearance as a key task and prioritize leadership and direction to ensure the required schedule. The goal is to hand over 100% of the agricultural land in November, substantially complete the handover of residential and other types of land, and finish site clearance for the entire project by December 15.
The Vice Chairman asked local authorities to hand over cleared land to the Railway Project Management Board immediately as clearance progresses. They were also instructed to continue compiling difficulties and obstacles for submission to the City People's Committee for consideration and resolution. Communication should be intensified to help residents understand the project's significance and importance, build consensus on land handover, and ensure completion according to schedule.
The section of the Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong railway construction project that passes through Hai Phong is approximately 104.669 km long and crosses 23 communes, wards and special zones, requiring the recovery of approximately 446 hectares of land, affecting around 5,650 households and 48 organizations.
The City People's Committee has approved 39 component projects, with total investment exceeding VND 11 trillion.
By October 26, three localities of An Hung, An Lao and Hai An had completed site clearance.
