Tzu Chi provides over VND 1 billion in aid to disadvantaged families in Hai Phong
The Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations and the Tzu Chi Foundation (Taiwan, China) are providing regular assistance to 71 particularly disadvantaged households, with total funding exceeding VND 1.09 billion.
The Hai Phong Union of Friendship Organizations has recently partnered with the Tzu Chi Foundation (Taiwan, China) to visit 12 disadvantaged families and deliver financial assistance for October. Each household received between VND 600,000 and VND 2 million.
The activity is part of a project to care for and support particularly disadvantaged families in communities in the western part of the city during the 2026-2027 period, funded by the Tzu Chi Foundation.
The project has a total budget of more than VND 1.09 billion and provides assistance to 71 particularly disadvantaged households across the city. It will run for 11 months from the date of approval, with support beginning in August 2026.
The households receive monthly cash assistance to cover living expenses, school fees, and medication. The amount provided is determined according to each household's circumstances and needs. The project also provides in-kind assistance, including nutritional milk and New Year gifts.
