On October 12, Keimyung University of South Korea, in collaboration with the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training and New World Study Abroad Group, held the fourth “Nurturing Dreams” scholarship award ceremony at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted in Le Thanh Nghi Ward.
A representative of Keimyung University presented 25 scholarships worth USD 400 each, equivalent to VND 10.4 million, with a total value of USD 10,000. The scholarships were awarded to students with outstanding academic achievements from Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, Tran Phu High School for the Gifted and the high schools of Thanh Dong, Duong An, Le Quy Don, Phan Boi Chau, Doan Thuong, Ai Quoc, Ha Dong, Nam Trieu, Thuy Huong, Ninh Giang, Ninh Giang II, Thanh Mien, Chu Van An and Phu Thai.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kim Seon-jung, Vice President of Keimyung University, said that although each scholarship was modest in value, it would encourage students to continue working hard and serve as a stepping stone toward realizing their future dreams. The program's continuation over the years has also helped strengthen solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and South Korea.
Keimyung University has a long history and currently has approximately 40,000 students, making it the second-largest university in South Korea by enrollment. Around 2,000 of its students are Vietnamese, including approximately 500 from Hai Phong.

A leader of the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training said that thousands of students from the city go to South Korea to study each year, many of whom attend Keimyung University.
The program is a meaningful initiative to encourage students to strive for continued academic success. It also helps strengthen friendly cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea in general, and between Hai Phong and Keimyung University in particular, creating more opportunities and support for the city's students as they pursue their education and personal development.
