Hai Phong prepares activities for Vietnam Culture Day
Hai Phong plans to organize a range of cultural, artistic and cinematic events in November to promote local identity and expand community experiences.

Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, chaired a nationwide online conference on October 12 in Ha Noi to prepare for Vietnam Culture Day (November 24), in conjunction with the 2026 National Great Unity Day (November 18).
The conference was held in person at the Government Office and connected online with 34 provinces and cities nationwide.
Nguyen Minh Hung, Member of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, presided over the meeting at the Hai Phong venue.
In her concluding remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra urged the localities to promptly develop plans, clearly assign responsibilities, proactively resolve difficulties and organize activities suited to local conditions, in line with the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on Vietnamese cultural development.
Tra stressed that the activities must be practical and effective, with local communities at the center. Residents should play an active role in creating, participating in and enjoying cultural values, helping strengthen solidarity, foster community ties and promote the nation's cultural identity.
Hai Phong is expected to organize several highlight events in November, as planned by the City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. These will combine the introduction of traditional cultural values and local identity with expanded opportunities for experiences, exchanges and connections across cultural industries.

On November 21 and 22, the cultural experience space “One Space – Multiple Experiences” is expected to take place at the City Fine Arts Exhibition Center.
Activities will include displays of documents and artifacts, introductions to heritage, traditional art performances, exchanges with artisans, and hands-on experiences in traditional crafts and folk games. These activities will give residents opportunities to explore and experience cultural values firsthand.
From November 21 to 23, the city will work with the Vietnam Film Development Association to organize the film forum “Hai Phong – Gateway to Cinema.”
The program is expected to feature thematic discussions, the “Vietnam on Screen” exhibition, the artistic program “Hai Phong Rendezvous – Songs from Films,” networking activities for film businesses, location scouting for film productions and public film screenings.
On the evening of November 24, the artistic program “Colors of Vietnamese Culture” is scheduled to take place at the Xu Dong Cultural Center Square, showcasing traditional cultural values, distinctive identity and development achievements of the city.
Through this series of activities marking Vietnam Culture Day in conjunction with National Great Unity Day, Hai Phong aims to create a diverse range of community cultural activities and encourage residents to participate in cultural creation, experience and enjoyment. These efforts are expected to help strengthen national unity and harness cultural resources for the city's development.
