Games ON Hai Phong 2026 kicks off
Games ON Hai Phong 2026 has kicked off at the Hai Phong Theater Square, bringing together 32 competitors alongside a range of gaming, technology, music and food activities.

Games ON Hai Phong 2026 officially opened at the City Theater Square on the evening of October 10, launching an outdoor esports festival organized by VNGGames.
The opening ceremony was attended by Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and representatives of the leadership of the Sports Authority of Vietnam.
Representing Hai Phong were Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee; vice chairmen of the City People's Committee; and representatives of departments, agencies and mass organizations.

The event was also attended by a delegation of deputy ministerial-level and equivalent officials from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; Do Viet Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA); and representatives of federations, sponsors and partners, athletes, and large numbers of local residents and visitors.
In his welcome remarks, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Le Trung Kien emphasized that esports is increasingly establishing its position, helping enrich cultural and spiritual life, promote healthy lifestyles and drive the digital economy.

According to Kien, hosting a large-scale outdoor esports festival not only provides an exciting new venue for entertainment and competition but also helps promote Hai Phong as a youthful, dynamic and civilized city.
Designed not only for professional players, Games ON Hai Phong 2026 also offers a broader range of experiences for the public. Attendees can explore more than 20 games.
Technology experience zones, meet-and-greet sessions with content creators and key opinion leaders (KOLs), community competitions and giveaways have created a lively atmosphere. These activities bring esports closer to everyday community life rather than confining it to professional competition venues.

Alongside competitions and entertainment, the event features 11 food stalls operated by local brands. These provide a link between the esports festival and local food culture, services and commercial activities in the pedestrian street area. Residents and visitors have more options to enjoy the event, while local brands have opportunities to introduce their products to a wider audience.
The event is taking place on October 10 and 11 at the City Theater Square, featuring competitions, gaming experiences, meet-and-greet sessions and live performances, all free of charge for residents and visitors.
