The project to build a road connecting National Highways 5 and 10 is entering the final stage of site clearance, with completion targeted for October 2026.
Construction of the road connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10 is underway through Kien An and Phu Lien wards.In Kien An Ward, the project requires the acquisition of 17.2 hectares of land from 697 households. By early October, 15.39 hectares had been handed over, equivalent to 89.48%.Kien An Ward still needs to clear approximately 1.81 hectares to complete site clearance for the entire project area. So far, 21.92 hectares have been handed over, reaching 78%.Sites needed for construction of Truong Chinh and Bui Vien tunnels and a branch bridge must be handed over before October 15 to ensure the project stays on schedule.The total area to be acquired in Kien An and Phu Lien is 45.46 hectares. To date, 37.31 hectares, or approximately 82.1%, have been handed over, leaving about 8.15 hectares to be cleared in October 2026.Specialized machinery and equipment have been mobilized at the construction site, ready to accelerate work as soon as the remaining land is handed over. Coordinated site clearance is crucial to allowing contractors to carry out project components continuously.The National Highway 5-10 link road is among the city's key projects subject to special progress monitoring and oversight. Local authorities, the project owner and contractors are therefore required to carry out their tasks urgently and resolutely.With the goal of completing site clearance on schedule, local authorities are focusing on resolving the remaining obstacles and aim to hand over all land in October 2026, enabling construction to accelerate.
