Government sets Hai Phong's Q4 economic growth target at 15.39%
Under Resolution No. 312/NQ-CP, the Government has set a fourth-quarter economic growth target of 15.39% for Hai Phong.
Resolution No. 312/NQ-CP on the Government's regular September 2026 meeting and its online conference with localities sets fourth-quarter growth scenarios for each locality in line with the full-year 2026 growth target.
According to the resolution's attached appendix, Hai Phong is one of nine localities assigned a fourth-quarter GRDP growth target of more than 15%.
To achieve the growth scenarios, the Government required ministries, sectors and localities to review and identify growth drivers and untapped potential for the final months of the year. Priorities include resolving difficulties, accelerating projects that can be completed and put into operation soon, and supporting businesses capable of expanding production and operations. They must also speed up public investment disbursement and strive to achieve the highest possible socio-economic development targets for 2026.
Earlier, at Hai Phong Party Committee’s 5th Session on October 2, the city reported positive socio-economic results for the first nine months of 2026. GRDP in the third quarter was estimated to have grown by 13.09%, bringing growth for the first nine months to 12.08%, the third-highest rate nationwide and the highest for the same period in the past six years.
