Hai Phong Chairman meets with Brother Industries (Vietnam)
Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Do Thanh Trung has affirmed that the city will fully facilitate Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd.’s production and investment expansion.

Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee, visited and worked with Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd. (BIVN) at Phuc Dien Industrial Park in Mao Dien Commune on the afternoon of October 6.
Trung recognized and highly appreciated the results achieved by BIVN during its investment, production and business operations in Hai Phong, particularly its contributions to socio-economic development, import and export activities, job creation and the city's budget revenue.
The chairman affirmed that Hai Phong considers businesses one of the key drivers of the city's growth. The city is committed to supporting businesses and creating a favorable and stable investment and business environment; promptly addressing difficulties and obstacles; and creating conditions for businesses to confidently maintain production and business, expand investment and pursue long-term development in Hai Phong.

BIVN leaders said that recruiting and retaining workers is currently one of the company's major challenges. To meet production requirements, the company needs about 1,550 additional workers in the final months of the year.
The enterprise asked the city to consider support policies for workers from other provinces, including social housing, public transportation, bus routes connecting workplaces with workers' hometowns, and essential services such as healthcare, education, shopping, and entertainment. The company believed that improving living conditions would help attract and retain workers.
BIVN also asked the city to address difficulties related to environmental monitoring and testing, occupational safety, and fire prevention and firefighting training. Some new regulations remain overlapping, making implementation difficult, particularly procedures for importing raw materials and specialized components.

Representatives of city departments and agencies directly discussed and addressed several issues raised by the company, including import activities, declarations and procedures on the public service portal, as well as matters under their respective areas of management.
Established in 2006, Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd. is a Japanese-invested company operating two projects at Phuc Dien and Tan Truong industrial parks, with total investment of USD 313 million. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has recorded VND 19.933 trillion in revenue and exports, VND 6.652 trillion in imports, and VND 181.55 billion in payments to the budget.
