Gathering Hai Phong entrepreneurs in the South
The merger congress of the Association of Hai Phong Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2026 – 2031 term marks a step toward consolidating the organization and expanding the network of Hai Phong-born businesspeople in the South, creating more opportunities for cooperation and connecting resources to contribute to their hometown.
The Association of Hai Phong Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern Provinces held its merger congress for the 2026 – 2031 term on October 4 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event brought together nearly 300 delegates, businesspeople, enterprises, members and guests.
The congress marked the merger of the Hai Phong Business Association and the Hai Duong Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City, building on the activities of the two previous organizations while consolidating the organizational structure and setting out directions for the new term.
In his opening remarks, Nguyen Manh Ha, interim Chairman of the Association of Hai Phong Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern Provinces, emphasized that the event was not merely the start of a new term but also an important milestone in the journey of bringing together and developing the community of businesspeople who have left their hometowns to build their careers in the South.
The association aims to become a sustainable bridge through which resources, knowledge, technology and investment opportunities from the South can be brought back to contribute to the development of Hai Phong. This direction reflects the responsibility and affection that businesspeople living and working far from home feel toward the locality where they were born and raised.
Notably, the association's operational priorities focus on strengthening resource connections between Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces and cities. Through the membership network, businesses will have more opportunities to share experience, technology, markets and investment opportunities, while also promoting their social responsibility and participating in activities for the community and their hometown.
The Association of Hai Phong Businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern Provinces aims to build an increasingly united and close-knit business community based on substantive cooperation. In doing so, it seeks to strengthen its role as a bridge between Hai Phong enterprises and the business community in the South, helping bring the resources, knowledge and experience of businesspeople living far from home back to contribute to the city's development.
As part of the congress, nearly 30 booths were set up by member businesses to display and introduce their products, creating opportunities for connection and cooperation for mutual development among members.
