Hai Phong to turn cold from Oct 5 morning
From the morning of October 5, the weather in Hai Phong will turn cold, with the lowest temperatures during the cold spell ranging from 20 to 22°C.
According to the Hai Phong Hydrometeorological Station, a cold air mass is expected to affect Hai Phong from the night of October 4.
Under the influence of the cold air mass, Hai Phong will be cloudy from the night of October 4, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally bringing heavy rain. Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
From the morning of October 5, the weather will turn cold. The lowest temperatures during the cold spell will range from 20 to 22°C.
On land, winds will shift to the northeast from early morning and throughout the morning of October 5, reaching force 2-3.
At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, including the Bach Long Vi area, winds will shift to the northeast from early morning and throughout the morning of October 5, gradually strengthening to force 5-6, with gusts reaching force 7-8. Sea waves will be 1.5-2.5 m high, and the sea will be rough.
In the waters off Do Son and Cat Hai - Lan Ha Bay, northeasterly winds will reach force 3-4, with waves 0.5-1 m high.
From October 4 to the morning of October 5, Hai Phong will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
In the wards and communes of Chi Linh, Kinh Mon and Thanh Ha, average temperatures will fall to 24-25°C.
In the wards and communes of Hai Duong, Cam Giang, Tu Ky, Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, Kim Thanh, Kien An, An Duong, An Lao, Tien Lang and Vinh Bao, temperatures will range from 25 to 26°C.
