25,000 people engage in blood donation in Q3
Around 25,000 people took part in 97 blood donation drives in the third quarter of 2026, helping Hai Phong collect nearly 23,700 units of blood.
In the third quarter of 2026, the Hai Phong Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization organized numerous blood donation drives at localities, businesses, industrial parks, shopping centers and other locations, attracting large numbers of donors.
A total of 97 voluntary blood donation drives were successfully organized, with around 25,000 participants. During the quarter, the steering committee collected nearly 23,700 units of blood, exceeding the set target by 32%.
In the fourth quarter of 2026, the steering committee will continue expanding the network of voluntary blood donors, diversifying the formats of blood donation drives and promoting the use of technology in communication, registration and connection of blood donors.
Localities and agencies will not only ensure that they meet their assigned targets but also contribute to the city’s goal of collecting 63,500 units of blood in 2026, gradually building a pool of volunteers ready to donate blood to meet the needs of emergency care and treatment at medical facilities.
