All junior and senior high schools in Hai Phong implement STEM education
STEM education provides an environment for students to actively apply knowledge and develop problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork, presentation and self-directed research skills.
To realize the Politburo's resolutions, Hai Phong's education and training sector has stepped up STEM education through science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities in schools.
To date, all junior and senior high schools across the city have implemented STEM education. Three dedicated STEM practice rooms at Tran Phu Senior High School for the Gifted, Tu Ky Senior High School and Luong Khanh Thien Junior High School have served 975 students through 41 topics and 79 interdisciplinary lessons.
At schools, teachers integrate STEM into subjects in the natural sciences while also applying VR, AR and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in teaching. Teachers have won numerous national-level technical innovation awards.
STEM education provides an environment for students to actively apply knowledge and develop problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork, presentation and self-directed research skills. The science and engineering research, STEM and Robotics movement continues to be maintained, with numerous high prizes at the national level achieved in the 2025-2026 school year. Notably, Hai Phong won the championship at the FIRST LEGO League Hong Kong Championship 2025-2026, held in China.
