Hai Phong People’s Committee Chairman works with businesses in An Duong Industrial Park
Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung expects businesses in An Duong Industrial Park to continue operating efficiently and contribute more to the city’s budget.
Do Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, paid a working visit to An Duong Industrial Park on September 17.
Trung visited and worked with Shenyue Joint Investment Co., Ltd. (the investor of An Duong Industrial Park), Wolong Electric (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., and Tongwei Electronics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.
At the meetings, representatives of the businesses reported on their production and business activities, investment attraction results, and proposed that the city pay attention to addressing several difficulties and obstacles.
Speaking at the meetings with the companies, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Do Thanh Trung emphasized that the city always considers improving the investment and business environment a key and regular task. The development and expansion of enterprises’ production and business activities not only benefit the businesses themselves but also make an important contribution to socio-economic development, increase budget revenues and help achieve the city’s growth targets.
Trung expressed his confidence that Chinese businesses and investors in An Duong Industrial Park would operate effectively, promoting increasingly strong cooperation between Hai Phong and Chinese localities, as well as the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.
The Chairman of the City People’s Committee assigned relevant departments, agencies and the An Phong Ward People’s Committee to focus on fully resolving a proposal from Shenyue Joint Investment Co., Ltd. concerning site clearance for the industrial park in October 2026.
Regarding a proposal from Tongwei Electronics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., the Chairman of the City People’s Committee assigned the City Economic Zone Authority to support the business in connecting with and recruiting workers and coordinate with the Ward People’s Committee and relevant units to soon find solutions and fully address flooding in the industrial park.
Broken ground on in 2008, An Duong Industrial Park covers 196.1 hectares. The park’s industrial land occupancy rate has reached about 85%. There are 43 investment projects in the industrial park with total registered capital of approximately USD 1.1 billion.
