More convenient way to explore the heritage site

In the days leading up to the 2026 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, visitors are beginning to flock to the Con Son – Kiep Bac World Heritage complex. For first-time visitors, QR codes provide quick access to essential information, helping them map out their itineraries and choose the areas they want to explore.

At attractions throughout the site, QR codes are becoming a bridge connecting visitors with the historical and cultural values of the heritage complex. Information ranging from stories about historical figures and details of architecture and religious beliefs to festival-related content, which previously required visitors to consult multiple sources, is now more readily available. With a simple scan on smartphones, visitors have a new and more convenient way to discover the heritage site.

The 2026 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival will take place from September 26 to October 4. During the nine-day festival, the increased use of digital technology is expected to better meet the needs of residents and visitors in terms of transportation, sightseeing and access to information.

Technology supports the festival

The Management Board of the Con Son – Kiep Bac Special National Relic Site has completed preparations and is ready for nine days of festivities featuring traditional rituals, along with a wide range of cultural, tourism and trade promotion activities. Highlights include a ceremony commemorating the 726th death anniversary of national hero Tran Hung Dao, the opening ceremony, and the unveiling of the brand identity for the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac World Heritage complex of monuments and scenic landscapes.

Alongside preparations for facilities, the landscape and other conditions needed to serve the festival, the management board is continuing to accelerate digital transformation in heritage management and preservation. Management software has been updated and synchronized, while non-cash fee collection and vehicle management are gradually being supported by digital technology, helping improve operational efficiency at the site.

For the Con Son – Kiep Bac World Heritage Site, digital transformation is not simply about adding convenience for visitors; it also aims to establish a modern approach to heritage management. The ongoing updating, standardization and integration of data, together with the gradual adoption of digital applications, are creating better conditions for more effective heritage management, promotion and visitor services.

Drawing on practical experience from this year's festival, digital applications will continue to be refined, laying the groundwork for the Con Son – Kiep Bac relic site to be gradually modernize the way it is managed. The goal is to meet the demands of digital transformation while preserving the site's cultural environment and its authentic heritage values.
