Over 1 million tourists flock to Hai Phong during National Day holiday
During the five-day National Day holiday, Hai Phong welcomed 1,063,000 visitors, including 36,890 international arrivals.

Total tourism revenue during the five-day holiday was estimated at VND 1,594.5 billion. Visitors concentrated at beach and island destinations, cultural and historical sites, food tourism destinations and event venues.
Food tourism continued to be a highlight, with the Night Market around the City Theater Square and Central Flower Garden Strip, which opened on the evening of August 28, attracting more than 16,000 residents and visitors on its first day.

Along with food tours, beach and island tourism products attracted visitors to Cat Ba Archipelago, Doi Rong Tourist Area and Dau Island.
Cultural and historical destinations and nature exploration sites such as the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site, the Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem relic site, the Trang Kenh relic and scenic complex, the Mac Dynasty memorial site, Hai Phong Museum, Ba De temple, Tuong Long tower and Dao Co (Stork Island) also welcomed large numbers of visitors.

Many cultural and artistic activities were held during the holiday. Highlights included the Hai Phong Concert 2026; stage performances at the City Theater; and hands-on activities such as cake making, woodblock printing, and ceramic decoration at Hai Phong Museum. Exhibitions featuring art photography, documents and technology experience spaces also attracted the public.
On August 30, the “Moving forward with Vietnam” walking program was held simultaneously across the city, with nearly 4,000 participants at the city-level event at the City Theater Square.

Localities also organized numerous cultural, artistic, sports, entertainment and film-screening activities for residents, contributing to a lively atmosphere celebrating National Day.
