Hai Phong Party chief encourages workers at key transport projects
10 days after Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau issued his directive, construction progress has increased at all five transport projects.

Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, visited, presented gifts to and encouraged officials and workers working through the holiday at five key transport projects across the city on September 2 on the occasion of the 81st National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2026).
Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau visited and inspected the projects to construct Nguyen Trai Bridge and improve the surrounding urban area - the Nguyen Trai - Le Hong Phong road intersection; construct the intersection of Bui Vien and Le Hong Phong roads; construct the intersection of Bui Vien and Vo Nguyen Giap roads; construct a road connecting National Highway 5 and National Highway 10 through the former Kien An District - the Truong Chinh road intersection; and construct Ring Road 2 from Tan Vu through Hung Dao to Bui Vien road.

Previously, at a meeting on August 22 with the investors, contractors and relevant agencies, the Secretary of the City Party Committee required that the five projects be placed under special monitoring, with clear progress targets and completion deadlines set for each work item.
10 days later, during his direct inspection of the construction sites, Chau heard reports on the implementation of the requirements set out, including the mobilization of manpower, machinery and materials and the removal of difficulties affecting progress.
The inspection showed that the volume of work completed had increased at all five projects. The contractors added manpower, machinery and materials, organized additional construction teams and maintained work throughout the National Day holiday. A number of difficulties directly affecting construction were promptly addressed under the city's direction.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau praised the sense of responsibility and efforts of the investors, contractors, supervision consultants, as well as officials, engineers and workers. The units were asked to continue to build on the results achieved, closely follow the "critical path", increase manpower and machinery, ensure adequate supplies of materials and make the most of favorable conditions to accelerate progress.
Secretary Le Ngoc Chau emphasized that accelerating the projects would not only help speed up the disbursement of public investment but also complete transport infrastructure sooner, create momentum for socio-economic development and meet people's travel needs. During implementation, the contractors must organize construction scientifically and economically, while ensuring progress, quality, technical standards, aesthetics and safety. They must never compromise construction quality in response to time requirements, Chau added.

For difficulties and obstacles arising during implementation, the secretary assigned the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to act as the focal point and proactively coordinate with departments, sectors and localities to handle them within their authority. Issues falling under the city's responsibility must be addressed with a focus on creating the best possible conditions for contractors to carry out construction.
On the occasion of the 81st National Day, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau presented gifts, inquired about working conditions and encouraged officials, engineers and workers at the construction sites. He asked the investors and contractors to continue to pay attention to the workers' lives, fully implement benefits and policies, ensure occupational safety and hygiene, and create conditions for the workers to work with peace of mind, contributing to completing the projects on schedule and ensuring quality.
